Emirates Set to Start Daily JFK-Dubai Service

October 16, 2008

Emirates Airline said it will increase its three-times weekly New York JFK-Dubai A380 service to daily frequency beginning Oct. 26, 2008. The airline made history on Aug. 1, 2008, when it became the first carrier to operate the double-decker Airbus commercially to the United States. Passengers aboard the Emirates A380 are privy to one of the most luxurious in-flight experiences. On-board amenities include two Shower Spas for First Class passengers, 1,200 channels of entertainment throughout the aircraft, world-class dining and a dedicated First and Business Class Lounge featuring beverage and light food service throughout the duration of the flight. A380 passengers flying from New York will arrive at Dubai International Airport’s new Emirates Terminal 3.

Highlights include multiple check-in options and areas, lounges for First Class, Business Class, children and special needs passengers, a wide variety of retail stores, a spa, 14 restaurants, two hotels and five special A380 gates — double-decker jetways that allow for two-level, simultaneous boarding. New York’s JFK International Airport also utilizes a bi-level gate to board the A380, as Emirates First and Business Class passenger board directly from the Emirates Lounge at JFK Airport.
