In June of 2012, a group of Steele Travelers will set off on a 10-day adventure through the state of Israel. We will begin our journey in Jerusalem exploring its various religions and cultures of the monotheistic capital. Our home base will be the Mamilla Hotel, Israel's first and only modern design hotel. Indulge in the rejuvenating waters at the Dead Sea. Climb to the ancient community of Masada. Rappel down a mountain in the Negev desert. Hike to the lush oasis of Ein Gedi. Investigate massive underground caves. Ride a camel through the Negev Desert. While in Israel, satisfy your palette with the most authentic Middle Eastern and modern cuisine including a Jewish Shabbat meal.

- A representative will meet our group as you pass through passport control and greet each guest. A luxury transfer will be provided to the Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem.

June 2 -
- After breakfast start the day with a tour to the Old City of Jerusalem.
- Visit Mount Scopus and Mount Olives for a magnificent view of Jerusalem
- Descend to Kidron Valley and Garden of Gethsemane and then to Mount Zion
- Visit the room of the last supper and the nearby King David's Tomb
- Enter the Old City through the Zion Gate towards the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sephulcher
- Falafel lunch on your own
- Visit the Garden Tomb, Arab Market, and Jerusalem's colorful bazaars
- Dinner at Chakra Restaurant

- Return to the Old City for a tour of the underground Western Wall Tunnels. Visit the Western Wall, and the Temple Mount, one of the holiest Muslim sites
- Walk through the Jewish Quarter through the Roman Cardo.

- 1-hour ATV self driving tour at Motza

June 4 -
- Early check out from the Mamilla
- Visit the lush Oasis of Ein Gedi in the center of the desert for a hike to natural waterfalls
- Drive to Masada for a tour of the famed archaeological site including King Herod's Palace.
- After lunch on your own, visit the undiscovered part of the Dead Sea where you can indulge in a natural in-ground mud pool and float in the healing Dead Sea waters
- Stop by the Ahava Dead Sea Factory en-route to Mitzpeh Ramon
- Enjoy the thrill of rappelling into the Ramon Crater -one of the world's largest natural geological craters
- Arrive at Mitzpeh Ramon and check into the brand new deluxe Breishit Hotel
- Evening desert bash including dinner, drinks, and dancing!

- After breakfast, drive to a nearby Bedouin village to meet the residents and to learn about Bedouin life in the Negev desert
